Dropanion, a product operated by Ecom Solutions LLC ("we," "our," "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our website, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Services.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service. Any breach of this Privacy Policy also constitutes a breach of our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password through our authentication system (Firebase Authentication). Payment details are processed securely by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers or full payment information on our servers.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Dropanion website and dashboard, including features used, actions taken, and general activity patterns. We also collect standard device and browser information (browser type, operating system, IP address, referring URLs) for security and analytics purposes.

Chrome Extension Data

The Dropanion Chrome extension injects scripts into Amazon and eBay web pages you visit while the extension is active. Specifically:

• On Amazon pages: the extension reads product data (title, price, images, ASIN, description) from the pages you visit in order to facilitate listing those products to eBay.
• On eBay pages: the extension interacts with the eBay listing interface to automate the creation and management of listings on your account.
• The extension uses the storage, tabs, activeTab, and alarms browser permissions to perform its core functions.
• Product data retrieved from Amazon pages is transmitted to Dropanion's servers and/or to OpenAI's API (for title optimization features) as needed to perform the service. See the Third-Party Services section below.
• The extension does not capture or transmit general browsing history or activity outside of Amazon and eBay pages relevant to your dropshipping workflow.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and core functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Services.
• Analytics cookies: Used to understand how users interact with our website so we can improve it.
• Preference cookies: Used to remember your settings and preferences.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect certain features of the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Authenticate your identity and maintain account security.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing notices).
• Send service updates, feature announcements, and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time — see Section 7).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. No mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data will ever be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories listed below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Stripe — for payment processing and subscription management. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Firebase (Google) — for user authentication, database hosting, and backend infrastructure. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
• OpenAI — the Chrome extension sends product data (titles, descriptions) to OpenAI's API for AI-powered title optimization features. OpenAI's privacy policy is available at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. We do not send personally identifiable information to OpenAI.
• Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dropanion or others.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

All third-party service providers are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

• Account data (name, email): retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to handle support requests, legal obligations, or security needs.
• Usage and activity logs: retained for a limited period for security, troubleshooting, and analytics purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
• Payment records: retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
• Extension-retrieved product data: used in real time to perform the listing service; not retained on our servers beyond what is necessary for the transaction.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption, access controls, and security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Sensitive data in transit is encrypted via SSL/TLS. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on Dropanion's servers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you via email within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.

6. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at help@dropanion.com.

7. Email Communications & CAN-SPAM

We may send you transactional emails (account-related notices, billing, password resets) and, if you have opted in, marketing or promotional emails about new features and updates. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by contacting us at help@dropanion.com. Transactional emails are necessary for the operation of your account and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

8. SMS Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive SMS messages from Dropanion, we may send you text messages including product updates, eBay dropshipping tips, and promotional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. To get help, reply HELP or contact us at help@dropanion.com. You will receive a confirmation message upon unsubscribing.

Your mobile number and SMS opt-in consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Restriction — request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Objection — object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing.

• International transfers: Your data may be processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers (Firebase, Stripe, OpenAI) operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border data transfers.
• Supervisory authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

Please note that while Dropanion's Services are officially supported only for US and UK eBay accounts, users in the EEA retain all applicable GDPR rights.

11. CCPA — California Users

If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share about you.
• The right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party platforms (eBay, Amazon). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through or alongside our Services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page, update the effective date above, and/or notify you by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
